About ICETIME
A story that began with a desire to do things better
AT the beginning, there was PAŤO...
The story of IceTime began in 2006, when I started collaborating with coach Július Šupler and joined the national team staff as a video analyst. At that time, the position was entirely new — no club or national team had used it before. Together we tackled all the challenges that came with this pioneering work.
During the first tournaments, I realized that the traditional way of working with video was unsustainable. We received game recordings burned on DVDs, often with delays. Before I could begin any real analysis, I had to convert the video and then spend hours watching, searching, and manually tagging key situations based on the coach’s requests.
After countless nights spent rewatching the same sequences, one key question emerged:
There must be a better way.
This became the first impulse to create my own tool — an application capable of recording important events directly during the match and automatically synchronizing them with the video. Timeline markers could be perfectly aligned with the footage, making the entire process faster and allowing for analysis during the game itself.
This became the foundation of IceTime.
A new era of IceTime: 2025 – joining forces for the next level
The year 2025 brought a major milestone for IceTime. Palo and Viktor joined Paťo — two people with the same vision:
“to elevate IceTime to a new level in company structure, management, and business growth.”
They were united not only by the belief that IceTime had great potential, but also by something more personal
“All three of us love sports, especially ice hockey!”
This shared passion became the natural driving force behind joining efforts, building a company around the technology, and helping Paťo move IceTime further than ever before.
This new phase brought energy, strategic thinking, and a clear goal to build IceTime into a professionally managed company ready to grow, innovate, and expand internationally.
Thus, 2025 became a year of transformation — IceTime began growing as a brand, a company, and a shared mission.
